Everything that we make starts with our organic farm-made compost. It is the reason that\u00a0we started Malibu Compost. We needed\u00a0organic, clean,\u00a0healthy\u00a0soil for an extensive food growing project, and we couldn\u2019t find anything\u00a0to help create that. When we started making compost for our organic gardening\u00a0projects we realized that gardeners, farmers and growers all over the country were having the same problem.<\/p>\n<p>Bu\u2019s Blend is the solution when used as a top-dress, soil amendment or additive to potting and planting mixes that all of us need, to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>create healthy soil.<\/li>\n<li>revitalize those tired, old potting soils and planting mixes in our raised beds, planters and in-ground beds.<\/li>\n<li>feed the microbial life beneath the surface.<\/li>\n<li>feed the fruits, vegetables, trees, shrubs, lawns and flowers who depend on the microbes to feed them by breaking down good, healthy, clean organic matter and releasing nutrients to them for uptake.<\/li>\n<li>break up clay soil in an organic way without using gypsum.<\/li>\n<li>repair damaged and compacted soil.<\/li>\n<li>save water in the garden by holding moisture and dissipating it correctly.<\/li>\n<li>creating a safe environment for the pollinators and wildlife in our gardens.<\/li>\n<li>use as a cover in our landscape and planting areas versus shredded barks and mulches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our organic and biodynamic compost is hand-crafted from a base of organic dairy cow manure and wood chips from the forest that are stacked in windrows on the compost pads of our organic farms and then inoculated with the biodynamic preparations. The biodynamic preparations contain specific plant and mineral materials designed to increase the microbial life and nutrient in the soil.
